Saratoga Smiles has been a trusted name in Saratoga Springs, NY since 1985. Led by Dr. Richard L. Dennis, DMD, MAGD - one of the fewer than 2% of general dentists nationwide to earn Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry - our practice is built on careful diagnosis, honest conversation, and dentistry that lasts. Dr. Dennis has practiced in Saratoga Springs since 1997 and has completed advanced post-graduate training including an Implant Fellowship at Rutgers School of Dentistry and Conscious Sedation Certification from the University of Pittsburgh.

Our practice is located in a beautifully renovated, state-of-the-art office at 6 Carpenter Lane, complete with a dedicated in-house surgical suite for implant placement and oral surgery, plus ample on-site parking. We're proud to offer General Dentistry with a special emphasis on Implant Placement and Sedation Dentistry, all delivered in a warm, welcoming environment where patients feel like family.

POSITION SUMMARY

We're looking for an attentive, team-oriented Dental Assistant to support Dr. Dennis chairside across a wide range of procedures, with particular exposure to implant and sedation cases. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, comfortable in a surgical setting, and genuinely enjoys putting patients at ease.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Assist chairside with General Dentistry procedures, including Implant Placement and Sedation Dentistry cases
• Prepare and maintain the surgical suite and treatment rooms to the highest standard
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare, pass, and organize instruments and materials during procedures
• Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and infection-control protocols
• Take impressions and assist with lab case preparation
• Provide patients with clear, friendly pre- and post-treatment instructions
• Keep patient records accurate and up to date in Dentrix
• Help keep patient flow smooth, efficient, and on schedule

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and a genuine, patient-first attitude

Preferred

• Dentrix experience is a plus, but not required
• Surgical experience is not required, but highly recommended
• Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting

SCHEDULE & PAY

Employment Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM Thursday, 8:45 AM - 1:00 PM

Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on experience
